The Joint Business Plan builder screen in Growzz is where your plan takes shape - step by step - with full visibility and control. If it’s your first time here, don’t worry. We’ve designed the interface to be simple, intuitive, and supportive at every turn.
Getting Oriented
You’re looking at your planning workspace for a specific JBP . Across the top, you’ll see the name of your project and planning year (i.e., “Supplier Name Plan for Retailer Name in Category Name for Year”). On the left-hand side, the navigation bar gives you quick access to everything you need:
Overview: Return to the main step-by-step plan builder
SKUs, External Factors, Ongoing Changes, Promotions, and Investments: Access detailed components individually
Plan Review, Week by Week, Impact Report, and Investment Report: Review and evaluate your progress and insights on your plan.
You can click back and forth between these sections anytime - nothing is locked until you submit your plan. Think of it like a workbook: flip to any section, update it, and come back when needed. And if your team member updates something at the same time, it all gets saved as the platform is live, unlike a typical Excel file.
Building Your Plan
In the Overview section, the plan builder is broken into five simple steps:
Review SKUs – Confirm the right products are included in your plan, adding or removing as needed, and check the retailer's data in Growzz associated with them.
Add External Factors – Record outside influences (e.g., weather changes, store openings or closures) that will have an impact next year on your base volume.
Add Ongoing Changes – Include more permanent changes like pricing, packaging, listings, or store coverage.
Add Promotions – Add temporary activities that drive shopper engagement.
Add Investments – Capture any financial investments tied to your plan, like retropsective cost price reductions or fixed fees.
Each step has a “Go →” button to take you directly into that part of the plan. You can complete these in any order, and revisit them as often as you like.
Once you’ve completed your plan, use the “Send plan to Retailer for review” box at the bottom to move the process forward.
Team & Support
On the right side, you’ll see your team members. Use the “+ Invite member” button to bring in colleagues to collaborate.
Need help? Click the orange chat icon in the bottom-right corner to access in-app support. Here, you’ll find AI help, real-person live chat, and even the option to request short how-to videos if you’re stuck.
Expect tooltips (the little pop-up hints) throughout the platform - just hover over the info icons for tips and explanations.
